Discussion Question:
Write a short one page seminar paper in which you state your position
(thesis) in paragraph one; prove that position in paragraph 2 (and 3
if you wish) using specific quotes from the play or citations of specific
actions in the play as support; and conclude with a final paragraph.Post
a copy in your seminar DQ folder and bring a hard copy to class.
There is usually in each play, a protagonist - the person around whom
the dramatic action centers. He is usually the person who "initiates"
the action of the play and to whom something happens. This person is
not always easy for the director to identify, but it is essential if
the direction of the play is to succeed. In Pomerance's play, who do
you see as the protagonist- or put in other words: who is the play really
about? Explain your choice.
